Privacy and cookie statement.

This statement explains which personal data the public website echion.link handles, why, who receives it and what you can decide yourself. We wrote it to be read, so it is short and it only describes what the site does today.

In short

• We measure visits with Google Analytics, and only after you accept. Until then no analytics cookie is set and nothing is measured.
• We do not use advertising cookies.
• What you send through the demo form reaches us by email. We use it to answer you.
• We do not sell personal data.

Who is responsible

ECHION is a product of the company named on our about page. That company is the controller for the personal data described here. For any question or request about your data, mail info@4ap.nl.

This statement covers the public website: the pages you can read without signing in. The platform behind Sign in is not covered by it.

What we collect, and why

When you request a demo

The form on the demo page asks for your name, your company, your email address, the number of sites, the offer you are interested in and an optional message. We use this to answer your request and to prepare the demo.

The website sends the request to our mailbox by email. It does not store it in a database of its own. To stop abuse of the form, the server keeps the IP address of the sender in memory for ten minutes; it is not written to disk.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible agreement. We keep the request for as long as we are in contact about it. If you become a customer, it becomes part of the customer record. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

When you mail us

If you write to info@4ap.nl, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you, on the same basis and for the same period as a demo request.

When you visit the site, with your consent

If you accept in the cookie banner, we load Google Tag Manager and, through it, Google Analytics. Analytics then records which pages are viewed, clicks on the links to the demo page, and that a demo request was sent, together with the offer that was chosen. It also records general information that your browser sends: the type of device and browser, the language, the page you came from and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

The contents of the demo form are never sent to Google Analytics: not your name, not your company, not your email address and not your message.

We use this to see which pages are read and where the site can be clearer. We told Google not to use the data for advertising: the advertising settings of Google consent mode are set to denied on every page.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, see below.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To fetch them, your browser connects to servers of Google, which receive your IP address in the process. No cookie is set for this. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a consistent and readable site.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours records requests in a log: the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser used. We use these logs for security and for finding faults, and for nothing else. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe and working site.

Cookies and browser storage

Without your consent the site stores one item, and it is not used to follow you:

• echion-consent - set by this site, in the local storage of your browser. It remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not come back on every page. After six months we ask again.

Only after you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga - tells visitors apart. Kept for up to two years.
• _ga_JQVW9D79BF - keeps the state of your visit. Kept for up to two years.

You can change your choice whenever you like with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or here. If you decline after having accepted, the site removes the analytics cookies and stops loading Google Tag Manager.

Who receives data

We share personal data only with parties that help us run this site, and only what they need for that:

• Google, for analytics (after your consent) and for the fonts.
• Resend, the service that delivers the email with your demo request to us.
• The providers of our mailbox and of the server this site runs on.

Some of these parties process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. They do so under the safeguards that European privacy law accepts for it, such as the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it on for advertising.

Your rights

Under European privacy law you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit what we do with it or to hand it to you in a common format. You can object to processing that rests on our legitimate interest, and you can withdraw a consent you gave.

Mail info@4ap.nl and we answer within the term the law sets. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or with the authority in your own country.

Changes
